Does anybody remember the trodden days when Music TV, namely MTV and VH1 were at the top of their game. Ah yes...the late 80's and early 90's, where any viewer could flick the channel on their basic cable television package and watch real music TV. What do I mean by real music TV you ask? Well back in the day when music TV was really music TV, all they showed was predominantly music videos of all of the top artists and stars—and any viewer could easily enjoy these great many music videos with little interruption and few commercials. However, the internet and reality TV has surely changed the face of music TV forever. In the same likeness that TV killed the radio star, internet has killed the music TV star. As a result we are all forced to watch episodic TV about reality stars and the likeness and almost never are there any true ruminations of what used to be so fondly referred to as "music TV". Yes the days of music TV have surely come to an end. Thankfully there is the internet and monster sites like Youtube.com to keep all of us music video addicts suppressed.
