Insiders say privately he is actually feeling pretty bummed. Reports from his family tell the gossip site TMZ that he is really down in the dumps and devastated by all the bad press recently over his singing abilities and his lack of stage presence. His family say they are keeping up the support and giving him loads of encouragement to keep him going.

Lakisha Jones is the odds on favorite to win. At Bookmaker.com her current odds are set at +285 with Melinda Doolittle following second at +125. Residents of Lakisha's hometown in Flint, Michigan are even setting up a City Hall rally set for this Tuesday @ 7:00 to cheer her on.

Apparently these girls are keeping their new found fame all in stride, especially Lakisha who says she will return to her old 9-5 job at a bank if it all doesn't pan out for her.
